NOAA predicts 9 to 15 named Storms this Hurricane Season. Protect Your Business Data now!

The game of basketball is more than 120 years old, and today’s team owners, coaches and players are using technology in all aspects of the game.

NOAA, The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, has made their prediction for the 2019 Hurricane season, forecasting a 40% chance of a near-normal Atlantic Hurricane season. Near normal? That means NOAA predicts a range of 9 to 15 named storms, meaning they have winds of 39 mph or higher. This includes 2 to 4 major hurricanes in the categories of 3, 4 or 5, with winds of 111 mph or higher.* This poses a dangerous situation for both people and businesses.

The hurricane season begins June 1st and lasts until November 30th, 2019

Protect Your Business Now!

For business owners, the threat of a hurricane needs to be taken seriously, and the time to prepare is now before a storm is coming your way. The most important thing for you as a business is to keep your employees safe. The next in line is your business data.

According to The Insurance Institute for Business & Home Safety (IBHS), “Many businesses are not prepared to respond to a man-made or natural disaster. Statistics show that of the businesses that close because of a disaster, at least 1 in 4 never reopens. Small businesses are particularly at risk because typically they only have one location—the one that is damaged or destroyed. That’s why disaster planning is a critical part of every business’ operational objectives.”

What can you do?

HRCT recommends cloud back up of all major systems and data, even if you have an on-site server. Cloud backup protects your data from natural disasters, power outages and server crashes, but Hurricanes can damage your building, making it impossible to return. Your secure data in the cloud can be set up to gain access from anywhere, so your business can continue to operate.

With StorageCraft, HRCT Offers:

Converged Storage – Data Backup & Protection – Scale-Out Storage – Ransomware – Disaster Recovery

StorageCraft, “By adopting the cloud, even as a secondary backup service, an organization improves its chances of surviving a disaster, and effectively eliminates the risk that its data could be lost for good.”
